Since I can’t even be bothered to clean my apartment, I really can’t see Christmas decorations getting put up this year. And I’m never even home anyway. So Erin & I went to dollar general and did this to our office. Except the baby pictures, that wasn’t me.

Today, the design team went on a field trip to look at trends in design and retail and get into the environment and walk around river north / gold coast / streeterville for a while. These are my coworkers. well, not the woman on the left. the other three.

Peter has a roomba. I didn’t think people actually had those. Then again, it’s Peter.

So I got this new job (well, 3 months ago) working for a company that is one of the industry leaders in baking and candy and cake decorating products and methods, which means there are constantly cute and baked things all over the office. because everyone else who works there is into baking. and then there are people who are paid to be there to make up recipes and decorate cakes and candy and I’ve been putting off telling you the name because it’s actually Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory and no one believes me.

This morning I rode 78 miles around chicagoland, in the pouring rain, with these dudes. This photo makes me so happy and proud of myself. 

I got a grown-up job with a salary and benefits and stuff. They sent me a welcome package that applauds when I open the box.

I am completely speechless.
